Cooper's Houston was founded in Houston, Texas — one of the most demanding industrial markets in the country. From day one, we focused exclusively on industrial staffing: logistics, production, and warehouse. No generalist approach. No dabbling in sectors we don't know.

That focus built a reputation. Companies across Texas came to us because we understood their operations, their safety requirements, and the kind of workers who could hit the ground running. Over time, that reputation traveled — and so did we. Today, Cooper's Houston serves companies across all 50 states, with the same depth of industrial expertise that started in Houston.

Ja'Gared Deniandruis Davis was born on September 11, 1990, in Crockett, Texas — a small town that produced a big-time football player. A standout at Crockett High School, where he was named District 20-3A Defensive Co-MVP, Davis went on to play college football at Southern Methodist University (SMU), where he became one of the most decorated defensive ends in Conference USA history.

At SMU, Davis was a two-time First-team All-Conference USA selection (2010, 2012) and earned Second-team All-C-USA honors in 2011. He was named the FWAA National Defensive Player of the Week after a dominant performance against UTEP — recording eight tackles, 1.5 sacks, an interception, three pass deflections, and a forced fumble returned for a touchdown. He finished his college career with 301 tackles, 20.5 sacks, 4 interceptions, 20 pass deflections, and 6 forced fumbles.

After going undrafted in the 2013 NFL Draft, Davis signed with his hometown Houston Texans as an undrafted free agent — a fitting start for a player who never stopped fighting for his spot. He went on to earn roster spots with the New England Patriots, Kansas City Chiefs, and Washington Redskins, competing at the highest level of professional football and absorbing the culture of championship organizations.

Davis found his true professional home in the Canadian Football League, where he became an elite pass rusher and one of the most feared defensive ends in the game. He signed with the Calgary Stampeders in 2016 and won his first Grey Cup championship in 2018. He went on to earn three CFL East All-Star selections (2019, 2021, 2022) and accumulated 310 career tackles, 50 sacks, and 10 forced fumbles across stints with the Stampeders, Hamilton Tiger-Cats, and Toronto Argonauts — winning his second Grey Cup with the Argonauts in 2022. In January 2023, the city of Crockett, Texas honored him with a proclamation declaring January 21st "Ja'Gared Davis Day."

As co-founder, he is channeling over a decade of professional excellence into building a staffing company that connects hardworking people with real opportunities — and helps businesses across the country build the reliable, skilled workforces they need to win. Pamela Tennant brings more than 15 years of hands-on experience in staffing and workforce solutions to everything she builds. Based in Mississauga, Ontario, she has spent over a decade and a half learning the industry from the ground up — placing workers, building client relationships, navigating the complexities of temporary and permanent recruitment, and developing the deep operational knowledge that separates great staffing companies from average ones.

That experience is the foundation of Cooper's. Pamela founded the company on a single conviction: there is work for everyone. What started as a Canadian operation has grown into a multi-city recruitment firm with offices in Toronto, Mississauga, Vancouver, Edmonton, Houston, and Las Vegas — delivering tailored workforce solutions across industrial, logistics, production, and warehouse sectors. Every placement, every client relationship, and every process at Cooper's reflects the lessons of 15+ years spent doing this work at every level.

Cooper's Houston represents the next bold chapter in that journey — and Pamela is genuinely excited about it. Partnering with co-founder Ja'Gared Davis, she saw an opportunity to bring Cooper's proven people-first model into the Texas market, one of the most dynamic industrial labor markets in North America.
